Project description

Brought in as an interim Digital Designer for Spark Sport, I supported the in-house team during a transitional period by creating high-impact visual content across digital platforms.

Timeline

Contracted from 11 April to 27 May 2022, working on-site to deliver timely design support while the company onboarded a new full-time designer.

Spark Sport needed temporary design support to maintain visual consistency and output during a staffing gap. Through my company, I stepped in to design content cards and social media assets that aligned with Spark Sport’s brand and campaign needs, ensuring a smooth handover when the permanent designer arrived.

Tasks

As interim Digital Designer, I worked across a range of deliverables to support Spark Sport’s ongoing campaigns and content promotion.

Process

I integrated into Spark Sport’s in-house marketing and design team, working closely with producers and content leads to quickly pick up the brand’s visual language. Design requests came through daily stand-ups and briefs, often with fast turnarounds.

I used Adobe Creative Suite while also developing custom assets where needed. All deliverables were reviewed collaboratively and passed through internal feedback rounds before going live.

Conclusion

The modernization of the subscription management platform successfully addressed the core usability issues and improved the overall user experience. By focusing on simplifying the interface and optimizing workflows, we were able to create a more efficient and enjoyable platform for users. The significant improvements in user engagement, satisfaction, and subscription rates underscore the importance of user-centric design in achieving business success.

Results

My design support ensured uninterrupted content delivery during a key staffing transition. I created a handover document outlining workflows, file structures, and brand guidelines, and personally onboarded the incoming designer to help them hit the ground running with confidence and clarity.

This short-term role gave me the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a fast-paced content environment and strengthen my ability to quickly adapt within an established brand ecosystem.
